The penultimate round of the Pro MX Series for 2024 was held on the rolling hills of ‘MX Farm’ over the weekend under predominantly sunny skies!

BCP HAS Honda Junior Development Team rider Seth Shackleton took delivery of his brand new 2025 Honda CRF250R just one week prior to the event and gelled immediately with the new model! That much so that he decided he wanted to race it at National level just 7 days later…

The young Western Australian junior rider went 7-7 Moto scores for the day in the ultra competitive MX3 class finishing 7th overall on the day and cementing his 7th place currently in the MX3 points chase with just one round to go. Continuing to be the highest placed junior rider in the class!

“We made the decision to race the new model based on a few days of testing on all different surfaces,” said Shackleton.“The bike is just that much better, particularly the chassis, straight out of the crate that I felt I really needed to race this bike immediately.”

“Unfortunately I came down with a cold mid week and it hit me like a tonne of bricks Sunday on race day! I feel we made some huge improvement on a bunch of different levels but I just didn’t have the energy to finish the races the way I would have liked to,” continued Shackleton.“I can’t wait to finish the series strong next weekend in QMP.”

The final round of the Pro MX Series will be held this coming Sunday at Queensland Moto Park just outside of Ipswich!
