Round 3 of the WA State MX Championships were held over the weekend in perfect conditions on a rough and brutal Bunbury circuit! BCP Honda Factory Junior Team racer Seth Shackleton was on fire all weekend, winning both MX3 races contested Saturday while also dominating all three motos of the Junior 250cc class on the Sunday completing a clean sweep for the weekend on board his BCP Honda CRF250R machine!

“I absolutely love this track and the conditions were so good for racing,” said Shackleton.
“My bike is so dialled in at the moment and it feels good to string together five wins over the weekend.”

Shackleton is coming off the back of a sensational National Championship win just a few weeks ago up in Darwin and riding high on confidence as we continue the last half of the season.

“It’s really good to see Seth growing each weekend as a racer and athlete,” said Team Manager Lee Hogan.
“He’s had to fast-track an apprenticeship this year so to speak as a 14 year old racing in the MX3 class, but he knows where he wants to be and that’s battling up in the top 5 of Pro MX consistently! We know how brilliant he is in the sand but he’s been working so hard on his ruts and hard pack and its been a pleasure to watch.”

The penultimate round of the Pro MX Championship will be held at the QMP circuit in Queensland Sunday 13th August while the final round of the WA State MX Titles will be held on the 7th and 8th October!
