Jet Alsop Lands Michelin With 3rd Overall At ProMX Season Opener Wonthaggi
Jet Alsop debuted his Ride Red Honda CRF250R to unanimous success at the Opening Round of the 2025 ProMX Championship, where a challenging Wonthaggi track was tamed by a consistent day of speed, landing Jet in 3rd Overall.
Finding speed and comfort from the beginning of the weekend, a confident MX3 Qualifying session placed Jet with the 2nd fastest time across the two groups of riders heading into Sunday’s races.
In the opening moto, a start at the backside of the top 10 saw Jet charge through the field, establishing 3rd place by the latter stages of the moto, maintaining the podium finish to the chequered flag.
In moto 2, a team decision was made to switch from the Michelin Sand tyre to the Michelin Mud tyre, a call that was rewarded with a great start and opening lap track position. Pushing through battles at the spring part of the race, Alsop once again established 3rd in the moto and consistently logged laps to score 3-3 motos and 3rd Overall on the day.

“My goal for Round 1 was to show the speed we have on the Honda but to also be consistent and build a base for this season and the MX3 Championship.”
“We achieved that and I am happy to have a podium to build from to start the season. I want to thank Honda, the JP MX Development team and all of our sponsors for the unwavering support in making this podium happen at Wonthaggi,” commented Alsop.
Jet Alsop now focuses on Round 2 of the ProMX Championship, taking place at Appin, NSW on Sunday 13th April.
