As expected, Toowoomba did not disappoint with an action packed round of
the 2016 MX Nationals last Sunday.

With only one more round remaining in
the 2016 Championship, the team will dig deep and look to give it their all at
what looks to be a thrilling final round in Coolum.
Heading into round nine Jed was confidently holding the red plate but after a
few mistakes and a track that was not one that he was completely
comfortable on, he now sits only 11 points back in second.

Jed finished theday with a 5-3 result that landed him third on the podium.
“Not happy with Toowoomba. I had really bad starts and couldn’t find my
groove on the track. I am really keen for this last round” Said Beaton.
Maddy Brown made a guest appearance in the MX2 class, placing 22-22 in
moto’s to land her in 24th overall for the round.

Maddy was one of only two females to ride in this class on the day and showed impressive speed and
style post returning for a number of MXGP races overseas.
Being a Toowoomba local, Jacob headed into the round looking for a home
ground advantage.

He once again showed great consistency going 7-7 on
the day which has resulted in 8th overall for the round and 6th place overall in
the MX1 Championship standings.
“Poor starts cost me a top 5 overall at Toowoomba. I felt my speed was good
and felt good on the track but it didn’t come together” Said Wright.
