Class wins for Rimbas and Shackleton at Cranbrook WA State Title Round

A fast and flowy track situated in Cranbrook Western Australia was the site of the latest WA State MX Championship round over the weekend!
In wet and muddy conditions on Saturday BCP HAS Honda Junior Development Team rider Seth Shackleton rode the wave of highs and lows, holeshotting Moto 1 of the MX3 class before a huge turn one crash saw the Honda rider remount and put on a charge from last place all the way through to second place by race end! Due to a schedule hold up earlier in the day the overall results would be determined by two points-scoring races instead of the usual three races!

A solid second moto win from Shackleton would give him the overall win on the day via count back.“That was a big hit I took in Moto 1 and it took a while to get going,” said Shackleton.“The body was a bit banged up but getting up to second place in Moto 1 gave me a shot at the overall on the day with a win in the final moto so we’ll take it!”

With Sunday being Junior day for the State MX Titles Shackleton was joined by team mate Leah Rimbas who continued her unbeaten streak in the series taking another three wins from three starts on board her BCP Honda CRF250R ahead of her sister Makayla Rimbas in second place.

“The track was so fast today and I had a ball out there,” said Rimbas.“I’m so happy to keep my win streak alive and I’m looking forward to the remaining rounds of the series.”

In the Junior 250cc category Seth Shackleton would go 2-1-2 for the day taking second place overall and retains the championship points lead as we head toward the end of the series.
