BCP HAS Honda Junior Development Team rider Seth Shackleton has climbed his way up two positions from 8th to 6th place overall in the 2024 MX3 class of the Pro MX Series after this weekend’s Murray Bridge round!

The Western Australian 15 year old qualified strongly finishing P4 against a stacked field in the mornings qualifying session. Two bad starts for Shackleton climbing through the pack from outside the top 30 in each moto made the going tough however gritty riding would see the number 65 BCP Honda rider finish 10th place overall for the day.

“I feel my riding was a lot better today and my speed was definitely there,” said Shackleton.“My starts made life very difficult and this one was all on me. I just need to jump out of the gate better if I’m going to compete with these guys.”

8th place overall in the MX3 title chase sees Shackleton the highest placed junior in the class however the team are working hard towards that first podium!
“I can see how much potential Seth has when it all comes together for him,” said Team Manager Lee Hogan.“He’s got some time on his side but the goal for 2024 was to land some podiums for sure. The bike is awesome and he’s training his butt off so we’ll keep working on the one percenters and try to finish out the season strong with three Queensland rounds coming up.”

Shackleton will line up in under a week’s time at the next round of the WA State MX titles where he holds a substantial points lead before switching focus to the upcoming Toowoomba round of Pro MX scheduled for July 21st!
